He has over the years founded various companies that are based on technology such as Groupon, Lightbank, and Echo Global Logistics among many others. As much as these companies focus on different businesses, one thing is common about them. They use the new technology.
In the year 2016, Eric co-founded Tempus and was named its chief executive officer. The organization is a healthcare startup that primarily focuses on creating an operating system that can assist in collecting and analyzing data, which is associated with genetics and cancer treatment. Tempus compiles the genetic profiles of the cancer patients and puts them into one database. This way, the doctors have fast access to the information on the effective treatment of a particular patient. The organization hopes that both physicians and patients can fight cancer by using data of other patients across the country. Eric was motivated to co-find Tempus after a close relative was diagnosed with cancer. He has continued to give donations to cancer patients across Chicago and the country at large and learn more about Eric.
Besides being an entrepreneur, Eric is an author. He has written a book known as Accelerated Disruption, which explains why businesses that integrate new technologies in their endeavors are more likely to succeed and Eric’s lacrosse camp.
